San Isidro's cathedral and the Delta boat ride were both beautiful.

A warm, engaging introduction to Buenos Aires.

The Tigre Art Museum gardens were a lovely surprise. Carla explained the building's Belle Époque past before we continued toward the river.

We began beneath the old trees around Plaza Mitre and entered the neo-Gothic cathedral while it was open. Later, the shared boat passed island homes, schools, delivery vessels and private docks. Seeing those practical details made the Paraná Delta feel like a living community, not simply a scenic excursion outside Buenos Aires.

Carla helped us understand the contrast between the old streets of San Telmo, colorful La Boca and the modern waterfront at Puerto Madero.

Puerto de Frutos was a relaxed and enjoyable final stop.

Well paced and full of good stories.

Our family was traveling with an older relative, and the separate driver made the six-hour route much easier. Carla kept the walks through San Isidro and the museum gardens manageable, allowed time for photographs, and answered questions about the northern suburbs. We never felt pressured to move faster than was comfortable.

The shared boat was busy at first, but the smaller waterways soon became peaceful. Houses on stilts and residents' boats were fascinating to observe.

We learned how immigration shaped the city's identity while walking through San Telmo and La Boca. Carla was friendly, clear and very good at making history feel connected to the streets around us.
